Le Castella
Le Castella is considered as one of the most polpular Calabrian tourist sites with a population of 800 habitants.
Situated on the Calabrian Ionic Riviera, in the protected marine area of Capo Rizzuto, this unique scenery rich with ancient history from the Greek, Byzantine and Norman times is a "must" to see.
The origin of Le Castella is ancient and mysterious, its believed that on one of the small islets not so far from the main land precisely called Calypso or Ogigia, the Homeric goddess longly detained Ulysse, never the less its history evolves around the Aragonese Castle, considered the heart of the past, present and future life of "Le Castella".
